Tri-Development Center of Aiken County, Inc.’s mission is to provide, promote and coordinate community services in Aiken County for individuals with autism, head and spinal cord injuries, and intellectual disabilities; to maximize independence, safeguard and support human rights and dignity, and achieve community inclusion; to provide education and resources to the public to help in the understanding and prevention of autism, head and spinal cord injuries, and intellectual disabilities.

We are a well-known non-profit organization, across Aiken area that provides services in both residential and vocational settings. In our Residential Services, we assist individuals within our 33 residential homes with day to day activities that provides them a better quality of life.

In Vocational Services, we provide the following training and supports throughout our 4 Day programs setting:

Day Activity Services: We provide supports in learning appropriate coping skills and social behaviors. We also train on ways to increase independence in daily living skills.

Community Services: We provide supports in increasing independent living skills in natural settings. We train individuals on the importance of making informed choices based off their own interest and preferences.

Career Preparation Services: We explore different career options and practice the skills that each requires. We also provide work incentive education where we educate our individuals on work incentives for those receiving publicly funded benefits.

Employment- Group Services: We provide supports in interviewing and trainings skills in natural environments, to prepare individuals to be able transition to our Employment- Individuals
Services.

Employment- Individual Services: We provide supports in job discovery and carving, person- centered employment planning, and job placement and development. We also provide on the job training and coaching, negotiate with employers, coordinate transportation, and provide benefits support.
