The Redefined Women Empowerment (RWE), Inc., is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2018 in Barnwell, SC by Alicia A. Davis and two other community activists, Victoria Grant and Natalia Johnson. Davis, Grant and Johnson were brought together by a common belief that there were many youths in their community that lacked meaningful academic and career guidance. Determined to make a difference, Davis, Grant and Johnson convened a series of community meetings, attended by various community leaders and concerned individuals/parents. With the initial financial commitments from the organizational members, the community and local businesses, Davis, Grant, and Johnson founded RWE as a nonprofit IRS 501(c)3 corporation. RWE Inc. hopes to forge a strong partnership with the local business community, media, school districts, and other organizations serving the community.
