Connelly Farms
Connelly Farms was established by Robert Connelly Sr and his wife, Elma in 1947. Connelly began farming with 2 mules and just a few acres. He later extended a partnership to his children Robert Jr, Baynard, and Nancy and led his farm operations to nearly 15,000 acres at the time of the farm crisis in the 80s and 90s. Connelly was an active leader in the American Agricultural Movement.
Today, the family continues to farm corn, soybeans, peanuts, and wheat under the ownership of Baynard, Nancy, and Robert Jr’s son, Mark.
The farm continues to be a family operation including Baynard’s sons Matthew and Kevin; Nancy’s husband Benny, daughter Angel and grandson Steven; and Mark’s son Austin. The farm also employs five additional employees that help ensure the success of its daily operations.
Mark, Matthew, and Angel continue the family tradition of involvement in farm advocacy through various local and state organizations.
