Serving Aiken, Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Calhoun and Orangeburg Counties, it is the mission of the Lower Savannah Council of Governments (LSCOG) to work with and on behalf of local governments to develop, implement and administer plans, programs and projects in cooperation with local, state and national stakeholders, to improve the quality of life for residents in the Lower Savannah Region. The many functions of LSCOG include; support the marketing of the region as Thoroughbred Country (TBredCountry.org / on facebook here); support the employers of the regions as SC Works Lower Savannah (lowersavannahwda.org); support the seniors in the regions as Aging, Disabilities, Transportation, Resource Center (ADTRC) (LSCOG.org/aging); as well as, support the local counties, municipalities and partners with comprehensive planning services, grant writing and administration (LSCOG.org).
